Neighborhood House's STUDIO program empowers students from various backgrounds to discover their identity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) through hands-on tinkering activities. We are dedicated to giving youth quality programming catered toward cultural responsiveness and the High Point community. STUDIO is partnered with the University of Washington, integrating STEM college mentors within our program to help youth achieve college readiness and provide insight with all activities.

Building Our World One Student at a Time

What is powerful about STUDIO is that UW mentors, youth, and Neighborhood House staff collaborate together to critically engage and understand STEM topics while learning to see these topics through each other’s eyes. STUDIO creates profound relationships across lines of difference that lead to more equitable learning environments that in turn result in more innovative ideas and practices for everyone involved.
